The Georgia Bulldogs face off with the Cincinnati Bearcats in college football action as Bowl Season continues on New Year’s Day from Mercedes-Benz Stadium with the Peach Bowl.

The Cincinnati Bearcats come into this game unbeaten after finishing the regular season 9-0, culminating with a win over Tulsa in the regular season finale. Desmond Ridder has thrown for 2,090 yards with 17 touchdowns and 6 interceptions while also rushing for 609 yards and 12 touchdowns. Gerrid Doaks leads the Bearcats in rushing with 673 rushing yards and 7 scores and Jerome Ford has 386 rushing yards and 7 TDs as well. Josh Whyte leads Cincinnati in receiving with 25 grabs for 318 yards and 5 TDs while Jayshon Jackson has 309 receiving yards. Four more receivers have 200+ receiving yards for Cincinnati as well this year. On defense, Jarell White leads the Bearcats with 74 total tackles including 41 solo tackles with a pair of interceptions while Coby Bryant and Ahmad Gardner each have 3 interceptions on the year. Myjai Sanders also leads the Bearcats with 7 sacks this season.

The Georgia Bulldogs come into this one with a record of 7-2 this season, winning their last three games with their only two losses of the season coming against Alabama and Florida, the two participants in the SEC title game. Stetson Bennett has thrown for 1,167 yards, 8 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 55.2% passing while JT Daniels has tossed for 839 yards, 9 touchdowns and a pick on 66.7% passing. Zamir White has rushed for a team-high 740 yards with 10 touchdowns while James Cook has had 303 rushing yards. Kenny McIntosh and Daijun Edwards also have 200+ rushing yards for the Bulldogs as well on the year. Kearis Jackson leads Georgia’s receiving group with 467 receiving yards on 33 catches with 3 touchdowns while Jermaine Burton has 398 receiving yards with 3 TDs and George Pickens has 378 receiving yards with 5 TDs. On defense, Nakobe Dean leads the Bulldogs with 64 total tackles while Lewis Cine has a team-high 36 solo tackles and Eric Stokes has a team-high 4 interceptions. Richard LeCounte also has 3 INTs for Georgia as well this season.

Georgia is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 bowl games and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 neutral site games while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 games following a win. Cincinnati is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 bowl games while the under is 23-5-1 in their last 29 games as an underdog.

I get why Georgia would be favored as this is almost a home game for the Bulldogs with the game being played in Atlanta, but there may be quite a few bodies missing for Georgia for this game on the defensive side and It’s a tough task to try to stop this Cincinnati team. The Bearcats knocked off some of the better offensive units in the country this past season and I think they can hold serve and keep things tight with Georgia here. Give me Cincinnati and the free touchdown.

Prediction: Ohio State struggled against Purdue and I don’t see them falling again but they are up against a tough Wisconsin team. I see Wisconsin winning this game I’m just not sure if it is by 6 points.
